Day 01: Arrival Bagdogara by flight- Darjeeling
Bagdogara - Darjeeling (110 km - 03 hr)
Arrive Bagdogara, after traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) Caper's representative would assist you at airport & drive to Darjeeling, Queen of India's hill stations. Its setting is one of incomparable beauty. A Victorian town of old world charm 'discovered' by the British. It is surrounded by fragrant tea gardens which seem to flow over the layered slopes like emerald swells on a rough sea.

Day 02: Full Day Darjeeling City Tour

Day 03: Darjeeling to Pelling (80kms in 3hrs )
Check out from Darjeeling and drive to Pelling in West Sikkim (Alt 7175Ft / 2150M). Enjoy scenic beauty of Rangeet River Valley on the way.
Pelling Lying at an altitude of 7200 feet above the sea level, Pelling is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Sikkim. Boasting of zoological and botanical richness, Pelling is home to colorful exotic flower like Orchids and Rhododendron, has small trekking routes and a few popular historical sites.

Day 04: Pelling Sightseeing
Today we take you for Sightseeing of Pelling, visits to 8 popular tourist points – Darap Village and Valley, Rimbi Waterfalls, Rock Garden, Kunchenjungha Water Falls and Khecheopalri Holy Lake. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Helipad View Point, Rubduntse Palace Ruins and Bird Sanctuary. Free evening

Day 05: Pelling to Gangtok, 120kms in 4hrs
Check out from Pelling and drive to Gangtok (Alt 5550Ft / 1675M). En route visit Rabangla. Gangtok is the cap
ital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Day 06: Gangtok Sightseeing
Today, have breakfast and leave for sightseeing tour to Gangtok. Some of the important places of interest we take you to are- Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms Emporium, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (stupa), Enchey monastery, White hall, Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View point and Banjhakri falls.
Directorate of handicrafts and handlooms Emporium is one among the best places to shop in the state of Sikkim. The center has a wide collection of beautiful thangka paintings, wooden masks, traditional hats and caps, stuffed dolls, embroidered products, carpets, handlooms and cane and bamboo work. The center is also a training center for those who want to learn about handicraft.
Other attractions-Do Drul Chorten, a magnificent stupa put up by the head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhist, Trullshi Rinpoche. It is the biggest stupa in Sikkim and is home to a complete set of Dorjee Phurba, Kangyur relics (holy books) and other religious objects. There are 108 prayer wheels around the stupa, which are turned to read the mantra ‘Om Mane Padmane Hum’ engraved on it.
Surrounded by tall pine trees all around, Enchey Monastery is believed to be constructed on a land blessed by Lama Druptob Karpo (a tantric master). The monastery is highly revered and inside the monastery you can see some shells that are considered auspicious Buddhist symbols. Listed among the most important temples to visit in Sikkim is Ganesh Tok, at an altitude up to 6500 ft. The main deity presiding inside the temple is of Lord Ganesha. The temple is not only visited to seek blessings, but also to enjoy the surrounding and the scenic views from the hill top. In-addition, if it is a clear day then you can also have a fascinating view of Kanchenjunga (the third highest peak).

Day 07: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
Note: Foreigners and NRI are not allowed to Visit Baba Mandir.

Being situated in the Himalayan topography, Gangtok has various natural attractions which are filled with mystical beauty and serenity. One of them is the breathtaking Tsomgo lake which offers one of the most beautiful sights in the region. The lake is nestled at an altitude of 12,400 ft and the drive from Gangtok to it is likely to take around 1 hour to reach. Tsomgo or Changu lake is actually a glacial lake, which derives its waters from the snow capped mountains it get surrounded by. The lake is also a home of Brahmin ducks and migratory birds. Being a prominent tourist place, the banks of the lake have shops selling trinkets and Yak cheese. So you can buy some for yourself. The locals also provide for yak rides so you can have a nice time exploring the breathtaking surroundings sitting on the back of a yak. Admire the beauty of the lake and pay a visit to the Lord Shiva temple, which is located on the banks of Tsomgo Lake. We can also visit Nathu La Pass, which is the border of India and China.
Get Free Quote Post this, move towards Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial War temple, which is 20 kms from Tsomgo Lake near Gangtok. Situated at an altitude of around 13000 feet, close to Jelep Pass, is a memorial shrine, dedicated to a soldier of the 23rd Punjab Regiment, who died in the 1962 war between India and China. As per the legend, after meeting his tragic death in the war, soldier Harbhajan Singh came in the dream of one of his peers, and asked to build a war memorial after him. Following this, Indian Army built a war memorial in order to commemorate the sacrifice of this martyr. Later on, this memorial started enjoying the privileges of a sacred shrine. The original Baba Harbhajan Singh temple was built in the year 1983 at the bunker of the late soldier. When you will visit this bunker, you will come across dresses, stationeries and pictures of the soldier. There also lies a small wishing poodle, in which you can throw a coin and make a wish.
After a day full of excursion, return back to your hotel in Gangtok. Spend the evening at leisure in your hotel or do some shopping in the nearby malls and market.

Day 08: Gangtok- Kalimpong (75kms/ 3hrs)
Today we drive to Kalimpong, an incredible stunning backdrop of towering snow capped peaks. This exotic town of beautiful people, mystical & enchanting, with a rare ethnic blend of hill people. It also houses several Buddhist monasteries which hold a number of rare Tibetan Buddhist scriptures. It was ruled by Bhutan for 155 years & was annexed by the British only in 1865, after which it flourished as a centre of wool trade with Tibet. Here Buddhism rubs shoulders with Hinduism & Christianity. Gumpas, unusual churches, temples & missionaries coexist in a jovial society.

Day 09: Kalimpong Sightseeing
Today we take you for Kalimpong Sightseeing. We visit Thongsa Gompa also known as the Bhutanese Monastery. It is the oldest monastery in Kalimpong & was founded in the year 1692. Though the old structure was destroyed by the Gorkhas, it was rebuilt on the same site. Next visit the Zong Dog Palri Fo-Brang Gompa, which is on the Durpin hill & is famous for the Tibetan wall paintings. It also has a religious debating society along with a school of Tibetan medicine.
Get Free Quote We also visit Tharpa Choeling Monastery founded in 1937 & belongs to the Gelugpa (yellow hat) sect of Tibetan monastery. This Monastery houses many old scriptures & literary works. Next Dr Graham's Home, mission school was founded by Scottish missionary Dr. John Anderson Graham in 1900. The purpose of the school was to educate children of the tea garden workers & poor labourers. We also visit few nurseries around town.

Day 10: Gangtok – Bagdogra depart
This day marks the end of our exclusive Northeast tour. Post breakfast, you would be transferred to New Jalpaiguri Station/Bagdogra Airport/ Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand for your onward journey back home. These destinations are around 130 Km from Gangtok so it is advised you start early.
